There are too many film appearances to list but his more memorable credits include; Two Hearts in Waltz Time 1933, French Without Tears 1940, Unpublished Story and Secret Mission (both 1942), Life and Death of Colonel Blimp 1943, Give us the Moon 1944, Trio 1950, Folly to be Wise 1952, the Christmas film The Holly and the Ivy 1953, The Ship That Died of Shame 1955 and Iron Maiden 1962.
He appeared twice with Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne - in Night Train To Munich in 1940 he played the part of Roberts and in 1945’s Dead of Night he played the part of Eliot Foley.
His TV credits include appearances in Wives and Daughters 1971, The Pallisers 1974, The Early Life of Stephen Hind 1974 and the Old Men of the Zoo 1983.,
His film and TV career lasted through to the 1980's until his death in 1984 from a heart attack. He is the father of TV and stage actors Michael Culver and Robin Culver.
