My favourite film of his that he appeared in is the British wartime thriller Night Train To Munich.. He played the role of the dastardly Karl Marsen in the 1940 film, ultimately foiled by the Charters and Caldicott characters and Rex Harrison’s character. In the film, Rex Harrison and Paul Henreid, both as double agents competed for the heart of Margaret Lockwood.
Other films he appeared in include Goodbye Mr. Chips 1939, Joan of Paris 1942, between two Worlds 1944, Deception 1946, Rope of Sand 1949, Stolen Face 1952, Mantrap 1953, Holiday for Lovers 1959, Operation Crossbow 1965 and Exorcist II in 1977.
