Basil Lord

Basil Lord the actor and producer was born 20th march 1913 in Bexleyheath London.

One of the first films that he appeared in was the Basil Radford and Naunton film Stop Press Girl in 1949 – he played the un-credited part of a ‘Cockney’

Other productions that he appeared include Miss Pilgrim’s Progress 1949, Street Corner 1953 and several of the Brian Rix TV farces playing parts with names such as Creases Croker, Charley Stirling, Fruity Frampton, Flash Harry and Fiddler Cole.  He appeared in a number of TV productions through to the late 1970’s including Fabian of the Yard, The Kids from 47A, Tycoon and Room Service.

He died 3rd April 1979.
